DAVID CHAPA Obituary

DAVID CHAPA David Michael Chapa, 54 years of age, was called by the Lord on October 9th, 2023. He was born in Alice Texas on March 30, 1969 to Reynaldo Chapa Jr. and Elda Perez Chapa. He was a 1987 graduate of Benavides High School and a 1992 graduate of Texas A&I Kingsville where he received his bachelor's degree in sports science and kinesiology. David was an educator and coach for Alice ISD, Ben Bolt ISD, and recently Agua Dulce ISD. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. David was known for his unwavering dedication to coaching and education where he instilled not just skills but life lessons in his students and athletes, leaving an indelible mark on countless hearts. Beyond the field, he extended his nurturing spirit to his colleagues, fostering an environment of camaraderie that created lifelong friendships. David was also known for his great compassion as he deeply cared and took great pride in assisting anyone who needed a helping hand no matter how small or large. At home, his love shone just as brightly as David cherished every moment with his beloved wife, Alicia Ramirez Chapa and found boundless joy in the company of his stepchildren and numerous grandchildren. Their memories of laughter, wisdom, and shared experiences are a testament to a life beautifully lived. His legacy will forever be etched in the many lives he touched, both on and off the field.
