Dear Sue,Johnny,Jolene,Jonathan,Carlena, Travis & Uncle Grant
To have to say goodbye' to a well loved brother....it's hard
To have to watch' your mum & dad weep and question why......it's not easy
To have to bury a much loved son before your eyes, to feel the unrelenting, unforgiving pain that only a mother could ever feel....it's not easy. I've been in your shoes,I've walked the journey, and sometimes, still walking,it's tough... it's not easy
To watch on as an uncle, Grant and feel the power of helplessness...its hard, it's tough
If I could leave you all with a pearl' it would be this....
Don't take it day by day....
Don't take it hour by hour .....it's too long
Rather take it minute by minute
Deal with a minute at a time and then move onto the next minute.
When you've had enough say so and stop...
Give yourself space and those around you space
It's ok to sit and steer at a blank wall, for as long as you need to.
It's ok to hug that tree...it's ok to cry, it's ok
They say time' is a healer but i prefer to think the healing' is time
It is precious, it cannot be rushed. When those around you understand this ,their perception and your perception will become one . Do not seek inwardly to question, to try to find answers, Nor go through all the if onlys', they are in heavens care but rather speak Stephens name each and every day wether in hearts prayer or in life's simple daily chores....remember him , remember him for the special person he was....it is these things that never change and
Continue to grow with us
My love and distant hugs to each one of you.
