My big sister Jeanette. Words can't express how very sad I am that you have left us but knowing how you suffered (without complaint or self-pity), I can't begrudge the fact that you are now at rest. I'll always treasure our wonderful childhood and the fun we had, your loyalty in so many ways and the week I spent with you in March. I admire you so much and am so very proud of you. I hope you know how much you are respected and loved. I'm sorry I wasn't there to say goodbye but I obeyed your instructions! Rest peacefully. Love you heaps. Rochelle

Dear Jay, I didn't know you well, but I had great aroha & respect for you. You had a sort of inner light. The world is a poorer place with your passing. Arohanui to your whanau.

Jay will be sorely missed. She was stoic and brave throughout her health battles.
I'm so proud of Renee's strength and the support she gave to Jay.
Yesterdays service was lovely, and I learn't more about Jay's interesting life.

You were an inspiration as a teacher. I loved being one of your many colleagues and your friend. I enjoyed all the laughs we had and the times we were together both at school and outside home. Your memory will love on Jay.
