William MUNDEN Obituary
William Alfred (Bill):
Peacefully at Thames Hospital on 21st April 2023; aged 94 years. Much loved husband of the late Rita, dearly loved Dad of Janet, David, Carol and Bill, Adrian and Gail, Helen and John. Cherished Granddad Munden of 15 grandchildren and great-granddad of 17. A celebration of Bill's life will be held in the Grahamstown Chapel, 102 Kirkwood Street, Thames, on Monday 1st May, at 11.00am, followed by a private cremation. Messages to: [email protected]

Uncle Bill was the most special lovely uncle who always spent time with me. I always looked forward to see him & auntie Rita on the farm as a very small child, the smell of cows, the milking parlour, uncle Bill in his overalls & auntie Rita shouting to bring us all together.
Uncle Bill always helped me even if it was looking after my bunny 'Boo Boo' or making our visit to New Zealand in 2012 so lovely & memorable.
Being 'Lord of The Rings & The Hobbit' fans we still joke that Uncle Bill said 'Hobiton'(Matamata) wasn't worth a visit as its just holes in the side of hills in a field, so we didn't go lol, but will be back & will raise a drink to Uncle Bill in the Prancing Pony...
Uncle Bill has always been in my heart he was a joyful part of my life & will always be loved.
