William (Bill) George:
Junee and formerly of Ngaruawahia, New Zealand. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday 18th June 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Noreen and the late Georgina Deacon. Dearly loved father of Barry, Daryn (Dec'd), and Lyandra Logan. Loved father in law of Ruta, Danielle and Michael. Loving brother of John (Dec'd) Michael, and deceased twin of Michael, Alex, Nola, Susan, David, and their families. Adored Grandad and Koro of Georgia, Matthew, Melissa, Billie-Rose, Kauri and Maddy.
Rest in Peace.
The relatives and friends of the late Mr William (Bill) Deacon are respectfully informed that his funeral will take place on Tuesday 25th June 2019. The cortege will leave for the Junee Lawn Cemetery after Prayers in St Joseph's Catholic Church Junee commencing at 11.00am. Live streaming of Bill's Service from 11.00am Australian time Tuesday 25th June 2019 and will be available via this link https://livestream.com/accounts/13561897/events/8723538

I have great memories of playing with and against Bill, when we did. There wasn't a fairer player and a bigger gentleman than Bill.
My deepest sympathy goes to his family, he will always be in my mind of a Rugby League Superstar and a Legend of League from Ngaruawahia and the Waikato

So sad to hear of your passing Bill,many pleasant memories, one in particularly I recall Rewa and I picking you up hitch hiking from Hamilton back to Ngaruawahia, you had just played Rugby for Hamilton Tech Collage and was on your way back to League Park to play for Panthers senior team. RIP Bill you have joined brother John up above.
