Warwick JOHNSON Obituary

Hey Warwick, at the ripe old age of my being in my 50's when we worked together, I just want to say: you were the very best Manager I have had throughout my working life. I only heard a week ago of your passing, I was so shocked as I am sure were many others, yes Warwick, you definitely were one of the good ones with your keen sense of humor, the office in Ham East, was more often than not full of laughter. Look after you my friend and say Hi to my Mum for me. My best thoughts to your family at this difficult time.

I was very sad and shocked to hear of Warwick's sudden departure. One of the warmest people you could meet, with his constant cheeky laugh. He always talked highly and lovingly of his wife and children. My deepest sympathies to his family through this hard time.

Really sad to hear this news Warwick. We have your name stamped on several items around the place as I'm sure many others do. Your name and memory will live on for many years to come.

We only met Warwick a few times when he was the agent for the house we now live in, but he was always friendly and kind, with a ready smile. He must have been a wonderful husband, father & grandfather. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Why is it the good die young? Rest in peace, Warwick.

Just today 1 May learnt of Warwick's death. Have fond memories of him from State Coal days. We all went through some stressful times. He helped us into our new home 20yrs ago and always kept an interest in our lives. He will be missed.

So terribly sad to hear of Warwick's passing. I worked with him for only 4 years from 1996 but he was always kind to me and I enjoyed running into him in the following years around Hamilton East. To be so highly regarded in an industry that can be suspect is a huge achievement and his genuine empathy and excellent managerial style will be hard to emulate. Mary McFarlane.

Warwick's passing is so very sad - I still can't believe it. I worked with Warwick in the Hamilton East office for 6 years. He was the best Manager - knowledgeable, sincere, kind, fun lovingly and a good friend. Warwick was so very widely known and respected. Mary - my heartfelt love goes out to you and the girls. I still cannot believe that this has happened. I worked with Warwick in the Hamilton East office for 7 years. He was an amazing Manager, so much fun and a loyal friend. The Johnson Family - Goodness, I am so very sorry for your loss. I adored your Dad when I was about 10 years old ... our parents used to own the Taupiri Hotel at different times of course. He was a truly the dearest man and whilst I haven't seen him for forty five plus years I am reminded of his kindness - he taught me to drive, showed me how to light sky rockets, took me to my first concert when I was ten years old and came to dinner with my family oodles of times when he lived with dearest Mrs Mauston in Taupiri. He was absolutely the coolest dude. What a horrific little brat I must have been. However, he was very patient and kind and can only imagine what a wonderful husband, Dad and Grandad he must have been. Bless his heart and yours. He is remembered kindly, Francee Boult (nee Dunn)
