I am so sorry to see this. I was at Ayton House with Nessa, in her class at high school & in the same netball team. I was just thinking of her a few days ago, she was a beautiful person with a gorgeous smile and was a very good friend. With my heartfelt sympathy to Vanessa's family, she was a real treasure. My deepest condolences to Malcolm and the family. I knew Vanessa and Malcolm from our time in Saudi Arabia. They were fellow Kiwis in a sea of South Africans! Vanessa was such a warm and genuine person, and as a couple they were just so easy to be around. Working abroad had a firm expiry date for them, and you could tell how much they missed their family.

Vanessa will be missed by many.
