Valerie Louisa Catherine
(Val) (nee Heaphy):
Sadly, passed away on 31 August 2021, aged 85 years, at Malvina Major Village Hospital Care Centre, Wellington, after a short illness. Formerly of Hamilton, Whangarei, Mangakino and Point Chevalier, Auckland. Dearly loved wife of the late Colin for over 50 years. Much-loved Mum of her children Simon; Nick and Helen; mother-in-law of Tass and Marg; Grandma to Iona and Charlie. Loved by the extended Heaphy and Wood families. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private family service will be held in Wellington, with a memorial service to celebrate Val's life to be held in Hamilton at a later date. The family would like to thank the Malvina Major Village team, for their exceptional care and kindness to our Mum and to us, in her final days.
