Aged 84. Passed away suddenly at Taumarunui Hospital, 12th July. Loved wife of Ray. Mother to Patricia and Michael. Loved sister to Carol, loved sister to Micky. Grandmother to Shay, Robert, Grace, Brett & Dillion. Great-grandmother to Katara, Lucian and Amelia, Kaden and Mia. A service for Valerie will be held at The Taumarunui Funeral Home Chapel, 34 Huia Street, Taumarunui, on Tuesday 22nd July 2025 at 1.00pm, followed by burial at the Taumarunui Cemetery. Communications to the Wilson family, C/- Taumarunui Funeral Services, 34 Huia Street Taumarunui.

With a heavy hearts we remember the love, kindness, gentle voice and ways of Mum/Nana Wilson. Visits across the ocean to hold a new grandchild, long phone calls talking about family and grandchildren's antics with laughter. Foster children and new family members were welcomed and treated with love and respect. Our lives are incredibly blessed to have had you in them. I wish with all my heart we could talk about family, children, plants, knitting, recipes ,pets or what Dad had been building again.
We will carry our shared memories of you in our hearts always, until we meet again, we love you.
