I have only just heard ofToko´s passing. Toko played rugby with me in Ohakune many years ago. What a lovely man he was, travelling from Taurewa about midway from National Park to Turangi three times a week often picking up Alex Gage another forestry man living at Erua. I remember Toko as being a very good halfback, clean player, and a wonderful ambassador for both our club and sub-union. It saddens me that I never got to see Toko again after leaving our area.
