UNDERWOOD,
Thelma Winifred:
Peacefully on 22 July 2016, in her 96th year, surrounded by family, now with her Lord. Dearly loved wife of the late Arthur Underwood (Jimmy); cherished mother and mother-in-law of Ron and Diane; treasured Nana to Alison and Richard Cradick, Raeline and Ben Lightfoot, Ian and Karen, and Emily and Sacha Gray, and Great-Nana of Hamish and Caleb, Sienna and Felix, Laura and Hannah, and Mikayla, Olivia and Samantha. A service to celebrate Thelma's life will be held at Milford Baptist Church, on Thursday, 28 July at 10am, thereafter to Wellsford Cemetery for a committal ceremony at 2.45pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the NZ Bible Society would be appreciated.
Precious in the eyes of the Lord.

Dearest Beverly, Mary, Joy and Ron and all your families,
We were so sorry to see that dear 'Aunty Tel' had passed away - our deepest sympathies and condolences are with you all at this time. She was the most beautiful, unconditionally caring lady and Ada, Michael, Annette and Susan Pannett will always remember the kindness both of your parents (and yourselves) showed us - even after Ada and Kelvin separated, Ada was always still made to feel part of the family and we were all included in family gatherings, weddings, birthdays all of which leave me with such lovely childhood memories. A special lady who has always held a place in our hearts.

Thelma was a much-loved friend of my parents, especially my mother Joan with whom she shared a special school-time and in turn lifelong friendship. I will always treasure her interest in our families' activities over the years.
