Passed away suddenly on 5 February 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Loved soulmate of the late Russell. Much loved mum and mother-in-law of Sheree and Jared, Michael and Adam. Cherished Nana and Queen to Ryan and Chloe. A special friend to many.

A service to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at The Park Chapel, Hamilton Park Cemetery, 395 Morrinsville Road, Newstead on Tuesday, 10th February at 1.00 pm, followed by burial in the Birch lawn. The service will be livestreamed at www.hamiltonfuneralhome.co.nz/funerals

Can remember when many years ago Shirley Russell and Jimmy came to Australia for a trip we picked them up and dropped them at apartment they staying at and they seen the size of the flying cockaroaches they were laughing so hard and amazed .
