Shirley BESWETHERICK Obituary

On 7 April 2024, Shirley passed away peacefully at Awatere Rest Home, Hamilton, aged 91 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Roger for 63 years. Dearly loved and loving Mum and mother-in-law of Diana Beswetherick and Peter Stipkovits, Rowena and the late Ken Monk. Adored Nana of Tash, Michael and Jared, Great-Nana of five great-grandchildren. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of Heather and Jim Olsen. A service for Shirley will be held at the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 87 Forest Lake Road, Hamilton on Monday 15th April 2024 at 11.00am. The service is followed by light refreshments in the hall adjoining the Church. All communications to the Beswetherick families C/- PO Box 5523, Frankton, Hamilton 3242.

Memories of a time that was, and our families camped together, and you Shirley, and Heather were teenagers with boyfriends, who became husbands and fathers. Salt of the earth “family” who lived well by the example of your Mum and Dad. Rest In Peace Shirley. Colene Finn

Deepest sympathies to you all at Shirley´s passing.
Well I remember our days as camping neighbours of Shirley and Heather (and of course their parents) in the 1950´s and 1960´s at Mt Maunganui. Such lovely stable, mature and thoroughly decent girls and then over time they introduced us to Roger and Jim, a couple of wonderful guys.
Rest in peace Shirley.
