The SMARTINIS from the Cock n Bull Quiz night are very sad to hear the news about Ron and wish to share their condolences with all the family.
We will miss his cheerful greetings and the contributions he made (even if it was always to beat our team).
Thinking of you all!

Kindest thoughts and regards,

We are so sorry we can't be with you all on Wednesday to remember Ron and celebrate his life.
Here in the U.K we'll be thinking of you and sharing happy memories of our friendship with Alison and Ron while they lived in Bath, and also our recent holiday together in France,we had a wonderful reunion there.
Ron was a generous friend and will be much missed by us both.

It was with great sadness and shock that I heard of Ron's passing.
Ron was my best friend through most of our school days in Hokitika and although we lost contact in later life I did so enjoy the evening we spent catching up a few years ago at his mothers 90th birthday.
I know I would not be the person I am today if it wasn't for Ron.
As I think about him all our childhood memories come flooding back, from sitting up all night listening to the All Blacks v South Africa on the radio, rugby trips with the 1st XV or a season apple picking together in Neilson.
One memory does always stick with me, on a school trip Ron giving his lunch away to a less fortunate pupil who diodn't have any, but then he did eat mine, and this to me sums him up.
In a few words he was a good generous man and I was proud to call him a friend.
Please accept our sincere sympathies.

Brian Monks.
