Rodney TIPPING Obituary
10.6.1940 – 6.3.2026
Of Taupo. Died peacefully at the "Crack of Dawn", after a short illness, at the Matamata Country Lodge. Dearly loved husband and best mate of Betty for 62 years. Much loved and admired father and father-in-law of Adrienne & Stuart Carter (Matamata), Russell & Jacqueline (Cambridge), Stuart & Mie (Philippines) and loved Poppa of his 11 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren.
He has shorn his last sheep, caught his last fish, chased his last deer, and dug his last post hole. He can now Rest in Peace.
A celebration of Rod's life will be held at the Founders Chapel of Remembrance, Rickit Street, Taupo, on Wednesday (March 11th) at 1.30pm, thereafter to the Taupo Lawn Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.livenz.tv/funeral1 In lieu of flowers, donations to the Taupo Lakeland Lions would be appreciated and may be left at the service.
