It is with broken hearts we announce that Rodney slipped away peacefully on Friday 3rd April 2026, aged 84 years. Devoted husband and soulmate of Dianne. Beloved father of Andrew, Jeff, Natasha, Brylie and Natalie. Proud Poppa to 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren

A life well lived.

A celebration of Rod's life will be held at Woolertons' Funeral Home Chapel, 8f Railside Place, Hamilton on Saturday 9th May at 10.30am. Committal to follow service at Paeroa Pukerimu cemetery. Livestream of Rod's service available at www.hamiltonfuneralhome.co.nz/funerals/

Rod has been a life-long and treasured close friend of mine. We were neighbours growing up and our mothers were best friends who played cards together. So many decades of happy (and sometimes hilarious) times spent with Rod and his family. My thoughts are with the loved-ones he leaves behind at this very sad time. Rod always had a ready smile, and he had a wicked sense of humour - he will be very much missed by all of us who had the privilege of being his friend.
