Uncle, you were the most special, gentle, humblest person, and your light touched so many around the world.
When you came to London, you spent an afternoon with my neighbour in the sunshine. He still speaks fondly of that day, years later. That was your gift. You could change people's lives with the simplest of gestures- sharing a cup of tea and a few hours in the sunshine.
I am so grateful we were able to share your light for a time, and for the beautiful names you gave our two girls- they are a gift so special.
Your warm smile and gentle nature will be missed, but you will still be with us as we journey through life, guiding us with your strength and love. And your legacy lives on in your beautiful children and mokopuna.
With all our love, sleep well Uncle, until we meet again. xxxx
