21.10.1958 - 31.07.2016Beloved father of Sarina, Eden, Paige and Trae. Bestest Paka to Tyneal, Hirini, Tayne and Te Riiwhii. Dearest brother to Mihi, Hine, Teepa and Monty. Loved son of June Te Oranoa and Bubs Hirini Poihakena Wawatai. Cherished by all that were lucky to see his smile and be welcomed to his home. Pirika is laying at his home 182 Russell Road Huntly. Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11am. Please join us in farewelling and celebrating the cherished life of our father, paka, brother, son and friend.

Pirika was one of lifes true gentlemen. I feel very privileged to have known and worked with him for many years. Will remember his cheeky grin, his genuine interest in others and his quiet happy persona. My sincere condolences to the family. RIP my friend.
