One of the most opinionated, direct, yet funny and kind hearted guys I ever had the pleaseure to meet. Had a memory like steel trap and could recall the most detailed accounts of events, others had long forgotten. Knew every flirty score fro every match he ever played, and remembered every cock up from each of his teammates. We called him `The Almanac´ and he will be so sadly missed.

I remember Phil as our page boy at my wedding to Pauline (RIP) and getting part of his uniform caught in the alter rails. My condolences to Ann-Maree and the wider family.

Anne-Maree, I am so sorry for your loss. Phil was a dear friend of mine for over 30 years, and we shared lots of laughs on the soccer field and for many years after.
The smile on Phil's face on your wedding day as he looked at you showed me that he had found his soul mate. I have never seen him so happy as he was that day.
My sincere condolences to you and your families.
Phil, I will miss you incredibly, but I will cherish our long friendship and laughs and silly antics forever.
Rest in peace mate.
