MELVILLE-SMITH, Philip Charles. - Passed away peacefully at St Joan's Hospital (Hamilton) surrounded by his family on 5th August, 2014. Aged 63 years. Loved husband of Bernadien and loved friend of Linda. Treasured dad of Rachel and Andrew Merrit, and Stephen Melville-Smith. Cherished Grandad of Caleb, Mason, and Ethan. Respected step-father of Andrew, Samuel, and Joshua Kersten. Brother and friend of Garry and Sandra, Rodney and Deirdre, and Murray (twin) and Linda Melville-Smith all of Auckland. Also precious brother and brother-in-law of Bernadien's eight siblings, of the Van der Hulst family.

- A service celebrating Phil's life will be held at Seddon Park Funeral Home Chapel, corner Seddon Road and Somerset Street, Hamilton, on Friday, 8th August, 2014, at 1.30pm.
