We were so gutted to hear about Pete. He was such a great sport, great coach and an amazing man. Peter inspired kids and youth sport to give of their best and he did it, always, with a ready smile and good humour. Much love to Lynn and family. We are really grateful to have known Pete. He is remembered with respect.

Dear Lynn,
dear Jay and Nicola, dear Nathan and Lisa,

we were all very saddened by the news of Peters passing and our thoughts are with you all during this hard time.

I look back with a smile thinking about Peter and the time we all shared in Düsseldorf back in the beginning of the 1980s (even though I was only 8-years-old at the time), when you and Peter taught us how to play tennis and the time we all spent together over the years also off-court, celebrating several Christmases and New Years Eves together as well as several vacations spent at your house over the years on in New Zealand.

There was always a lot of laughter and Peter always with a joke on his lips.

Peter, as well as all of you guys, will always have a special place in our hearts and he will never be forgotten.

You are and will always be our New Zealand family.

My deepest condolences,
of course, also from dad, and a big hug to you all

Hi Lynn & Family, I can't express how sad I am and so many people in the pasing of my close and great mate "Big Pete". I called him "Big Pete", not because he was Big but to me he was this enormous man with an enormous heart with an enormous sense of humour and fun. I'm so proud to call him my very good friend and mate and shall be forever grateful for our friendship. Love to you all Lynn and believe me never forgotten and in my heart forever. His good mate "SHEPPO"

Dear Lynn, Jay & Nicola, Nathan & Lisa,
words are hard to find to express our feelings about your loss. We were all in shock, when we heard of Peter's passing. It is unbelievable and we are deeply saddened.
Peter will be well remembered - his unique humour, always with a twinkle in his eyes. The fun we had while you guys were in Germany in the eighties and later on when visiting. Precious memories!
Our thoughts are with you, wishing you all the strength to get through this.

"Mourning is like a big rock.
It is impossible to roll away.
At first you try not to suffocate beneath it.
After a while you start pecking it piece by piece.
Time will smoothen the edges of the last tiny piece of rock.
You put it in your pocket
and you will carry it with you for the rest of your life."
(Taken from my Mum's collection of sayings)

Thinking of you and sending big hugs, also from Dad.

Deepest condolence's to Lynn and the family. Peter gave me the greatest of opportunities, and did the same for so many others. I would not be where I am today without him. He was a great mentor but also a great friend. I wish I could be there to celebrate his life with you all. Sending my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
