Sad to hear of your passing. Like hundreds of others I was blessed to work at The Waikato Times when you were "The boss". Golden times and good memories for us as employees. Rest in peace.

Peter drove me to the church on my wedding day in 1975 and at this moment I am looking at the photos of you standing proudly next to the wedding car and you and my dad arranging the flounces of my wedding dress at the church entrance - thanks for those wonderful memories, my thoughts and love goes to Brent and his family at this time.
Memories are precious and sometimes are all that remain.

Peter you were a true friend to my parents especially my mum Jane, I remember when you opened the Manawatu Evening Standard Bookshop which mum managed until her passing. It was so exciting when you met Maude and wee Brent added to your joy,

Peter was a great supporter of the arts and we at Hamilton Operatic Society were lucky enough to have him as our President for a period. Our thoughts are with his family.

Peter and young Brent were neighbours of us many years ago, in Palmerston North. Always a true gentleman. Peter, you are often in our thoughts, and this will continue. Deepest sympathy to you, Brent and your family. Tricia & Bruce Penny.

A lovely man and a true gentleman. He was the manager of the Evening Standard when I started in 1973, then moved to the Waikato Times, but on visits back to Palmerston North he always took the time to say hello. Sincere condolences to his loved ones. Kay Williams

I first new Peter when he employed me as an apprentice in 1969, and again when we crossed paths at the Waikato Times. A really nice guy, someone with integrity to burn, and above all, someone who really cared about other people. Peter will be missed.
