Peter BUTLER Obituary

Father to Colin and Kate, father-in-law to Lesley and John, grandfather to James and Robert, Mark and Lauren. Passed away peacefully on March 3rd, 2026, at the Elizabeth Knox Rest Home and Hospital in Auckland, aged 96 years and 7 months. A very independent man, Peter lived alone for nearly 20 years since Judy passed away. Thank you to neighbours Bruce and Toshi, Marie, and constant friends Robert and Penny for their enduring care over the years. Thank you to the nursing staff at Elizabeth Knox (Chris, Geraldine, Nina, Manpreet, Jizmy, Al and others in Tawa Wing) for the wonderful care provided during his stay with them. Thank you also to Michelle at State of Grace Funerals for her most recent care of Peter. A small memorial service will be held at 1pm Thursday, March 26th, All Souls Chapel, Purewa Cemetery, 4a Parsons Road, Meadowbank, Auckland. (RSVP: 027 4477001.)
