Oh so many memories of the many hours spent with Norma and her family in Tauhei. We grew up next door and I remember playing in the old army hut for hours, our dinners there were quickly demolished so we could sample Normas home made ice cream, we thought it was the best thing on earth at the time. Norna was always a very positive person, things were always goodeo in her life. Rest in peace Norma.

Mrs Glass was a lovely, kind, intelligent and positive woman. I remember her delivering a box of golden delicious apples to our kitchen when I was a child.I remember eating grapefruit for breakfast at their Tauhei house. When I go married she advised me to be interested in my husband's work activities to help keep the spark alive. She hosted my 'kitchen shower'. At my father's funeral to help comfort me, she said that his passing may not be too difficult for me as I was so busy with my 3 young children. I always took note of what she said. She was a very good and generous friend to my mother. Mrs Glass was a very positive person in my childhood / early teens. A very hard worker and resilient person.I remember her with great fondness and admiration.

We are sad to hear of Norma's passing. We enjoyed her friendship and her works of art. We will ever be reminded of her when we look at her painting of Mt Cook on our living room wall. Roz and Peter, if you get the chance drop us an email to [email protected].
