Michael Patrick (Mike):
Passed away tragically at sea on Sunday 20 March 2022, aged 72 years. Adored Dad and respected father-in-law of Campbell and Angela, Hayden and Jody, Aimee and Craig, and Nicole. Loved Grandad of Ava, Mason, Luke, Ethan, Morgan, Sarah and James. Adored best mate of Deb for nearly 50 years. In accordance with Mike's wishes, a private Service for his family has taken place.

Deepest sympathies on Mike´s tragedy to all his family and friends
Mike and I worked together in the early 70s on Turf Digest and Friday Flash and we flatted together in Hataitai. The first horse we ever raced with a couple of other work colleagues was Fancy Nancy who won 4 races ( from memory).

Sending deepest sympathies to the Lovett families. Mike was a real character. I knew him from playing with and seeing him on the Golf Course. Always a chirpy smile and some cheeky banter among his friends and peers. Will be deeply missed. RIP Mike xxx

My mother worked for mikes parents in the Raetihi hotel for years .Mike and leonard clode were great mates and had a lot of fun together. Rest in peace mike. The Drinkwater Family
