Michael BARRETT Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones, on 19 August 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Aged 63 years. Adored husband and best friend of Natalie. Devoted and loving Dad of Tiffany & Ryan and Abbie. Amazing Pop to Kayden, Chloe, Jaimee, Bianka and Payton. Special brother to Kristine and Pete. The chequered flag has fallen on your final journey. Time to rest now, our forever guardian angel. A celebration of Mike's life will be held at the Hamilton Car Club, 116 Vaile Road, Hamilton, on Thursday 24 August at 1.00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to St John Ambulance would be appreciated and may be left at the service or made online. Correspondence to the Barrett Family, C/- P O Box 763, WMC Hamilton 3240.

Dear Natalie, Tiffany and Abbie and family. Thinking of you all at this time and sending love and condolences. Mike was an amazing man and I still remember how he quickly and quietly patched up the mini van I dragged across the centre place exit pole during a hockey tournament. No questions. Just a wink. He was one of those guys who would do anything for anyone. Thinking of you all - Rach x

Goodbye my friend/best mate we have done alot of things that we will never regret. We have shared so much through the years.We consider ourselves lucky to have had that time with MIke so many wonderful memories. Those times are ours to treasure. They will be kept in our heart forever. Our families have had so many wonderful years together.Watching your kids and grandkids grow up. We have had alot of good times over the last 28 years . Just to name a few Drinks,that's a given.lunches birthdays, weddings cruises around the country in our cars,on bikes ,following and working on rally cars,
holidays overseas. Rest in peace.

Dear Natalie, Tiffany and Abbie and family. We are so sad at the loss of Mike. We send our love and heartfelt sympathy at this very difficult time.
We will always remember Mike with love and respect and have special memories forever of the great times spent together on the sidelines at hockey.
