A wonderful teacher, inspiring leader, wise sage, and an incredibly kind and generous friend. You will be greatly missed. So sorry I couldn't make it over to NZ from Australia both just to visit before the passing of Arthur and Maureen and for the funeral. My deepest condolences to the Leong family.

I remember with fondness both Maureen and her husband Arthur when they lived in Tawa Street and were friends of my parents. They would come to parties my parents Geoff and Margaret Pitt threw, which in a way resembled our neighbourhood watch parties of today in that all the immediate neighbours (mostly but not exclusively, English immigrants. Arthur and Maureen were always positive people with ready smiles and a great sense of humour. RIP

Thank you Maureen for an incredible TaiChi journey from Te Awamutu to The Hamilton venues to Dr.Lam's workshops. The highlight for me was when Aunty gave me an address in Hong Kong where a taxi driver managed to find a tiny shop where a dear woman chose the right size sword for me. Such fun and adventures. You have given an immense and vast legacy to many thousands of people and it is still spreading throughout the world like the ripples on a lake. Thank you from an appreciative TaiChi student.

When I was Chair of the Poll Tax Maureen was our finance officer. She was a delight to work with. Will miss her. She was pretty handy at mahjong as well.

Maureen introduced me and many others to Tai Chi and we enjoyed her twice weekly sessions for many years. It not only gave us an opportunity to exercise but to have social contact with others. She was a wonderful instructor and we all enjoyed her sessions. Rest in peace, Maureen.
