Mary SLATTERY Obituary
Mary Colleen (nee Mallon):
Passed away peacefully with family at her side in Rotorua Hospital on 24 April 2022, aged 83 years. Treasured and loved Mum and mate of Donna, Kathryn (Kate) and Kerry. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Evodia (Vo) and Bill Dawson (Taupo), Denis and Helen Mallon (Levin), and the late Thomas (Tommy) Mallon (Wairoa). Dearest cousin of many, and Aunty Mary to all her nieces and nephews. A Requiem Mass for Mary will be celebrated at St Mary's Catholic Church, on Friday 29 April at 11.00am, with Rosary on Thursday 28 April at 7.00pm.

Miss Mallon taught my brother and I at Hillneath School in Wairoa and then Mrs Slattery taught my elder son at Selwyn Primary, Rotorua. It was just one of those coincidental things when we made the connection between her names! A no- nonsense lady with a great sense of humour.
