God Rest Billie as she now joins Doug. I was introduced to Alloway family through my good friend Arthur in Christchurch. Then met Billie who visited "366" a bit and Doug. Always enjoyed company of all of them and later other members of the family. A particular thank you to Billie and Doug for their tireless efforts with the Alliance Party, their efforts directly impacting my election to 46th Parliament as a List MP. My sincere thanks. As reported - Jim Anderton trying to encourage Billie to stand for Parliament herself. Billie's wise response "I don't think they could handle me Jim", to which I understand Jim reflected and came back with "maybe you are right Billie".
Kathryn and I always enjoyed our visits to Billie and Doug. Kathryn a registered nurse always impressed with the care Billie gave Doug as he was being called Home to God.
A great and very wise woman. God Rest her.
