I hope this message gets to someone in the family. I recently used Margaret's wonderful Vickers - Keightley family tree book to find my way back to Alford in Lincolnshire to visit the town and the church where so many family traditions were kept. I only met Margaret once at Joy Vickers' funeral and I did thank her then for her wonderful work. Without this I would not have been able to go back and find my way to where we came from. I was hoping to ring her and mention this to her, but upon searching found the notice of her passing which saddened me greatly. She did a terrific job in creating the family tree record in her words "for all the descendants of both these pioneering ancestors" and my condolences to the wider family.

To Allan and all of Margaret's family, we will always remember Aunty Marg as someone who didn't make a lot of noise but just got on and made sure matters were completed. Always there, always dependable, always consistent. On top of that a lovely person. What more can you want for a partner, a mother, a grandma or an aunty.
love to you all,
Alan & Bev

To Allan and all the extended family.....please accept our deepest sympathy. Margaret and I were always close as cousins and holidayed at each other's places for school holidays etc. Later I was one of her bridesmaids.....a day I remember vividly.Even though I married and headed south we were still very much in touch. She was a great cousin, friend and confidante. Now may she rest in peace... no more pain. Love to all xxxx
