I just wanted to contact Malcolm (after many years) & went for Google search; shocked to see his obituary notice. Malcolm was my colleague and a good friend when he was at New College, Cardiff. He was very affectionate, caring and helpful especially when I lost my father in 1990. I remember him saying then that he could see how his daughters would feel when he dies. He loved his daughters so much.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers for his soul to rest in peace.

Malcolm, or Uncle Malc as I always knew him was my best friend when I was four years old. He looked like a giant to me as I was so small and I remember his blue eyes and his laugh as we spent long sunny days playing in the garden with my grandma and mother in Tonyrefail, South Wales. Once he bought me an electric police bike for my birthday and he was my deputy, helping me to arrest a majority of my neighbours and cause chaos. I always hoped I would see my childhood hero and best friend one last time, but time wasn't on our side which I feel very sad about. However, I take comfort in knowing that he has only passed through another door and that his loved ones in New Zealand and Wales now have someone very special watching over them.

We remember Malcolm's great conversation in that lovely welsh voice. He had a strong social conscience and we enjoyed discussions on the state of the world and how to fix it. Our sympathies to Joanne and the girls.
