Dear Auntie Lorraine, meeting you and Auntie Beryl in January 2015 was one of the highlights of my life. I had always heard about my twin aunties in far off New Zealand, but never expected to meet you both in person, until your niece Lorraine, named after you, decided to treat me to the trip of a lifetime. I had already read your wonderful memories of being brought up in a farming community in those far off days in the 1930s leading up to the War but in our evening together heard so much more about what happened after you joined the Wood family. I discovered that evening what a beautiful person you were, Auntie Lorraine. Your passing is such a loss, and not just to the family: you have left behind a gap that can never be filled as you represented such deeply ingrained goodness, devotion and strength, all wrapped together in a package of fun and laughter, that can only be found in your generation. However, the love you shared will remain alive in all of our hearts until we meet again. Xxxx

So sorry to hear of your passing Lorraine, I will always remember those phone calls and the times I visited you in Perth. The fundraising for the Boys trips to Australia. Sympathies to Deon and all your family, also to Beryl who I'm sure you will all miss her very much. Betty and Wayne Busst.xx
