Lawrence MACNEE Obituary

83, of Hamilton, New Zealand went to be with the Lord who he dearly loved on August 22, 2024. Ray was born in Masterton, New Zealand to Adam and Ivy Macnee in 1940. He was the youngest of four children and grew up as a typical kiwi boy until his life changed when he received Jesus as his Savior and the Lord of his life at 19 years old. Shortly after, he met and married the love of his life, Pauline Garratt Macnee. They began an adventurous life together in 1962 by attending bible college and went on to raise six children who are still arguing over who was their dad's favorite. Ray spent his life serving the Lord and shepherding hundreds of believers from various countries. He cared for the New Zealand Training Centre, a Bible College in Hamilton, for thirty years, and how he loved those in his care. His pattern of absolute consecration, daring faith, consistently reading and praying over the Bible, genuine humility, and tender love for man will be remembered by all who knew him. Ray is survived by his sister, Marion, his wife, Pauline and his children, Paul, Stephen, John, Kathryn, Virginia and James, as well as nineteen grandchildren, Sharie, Ben, Daniel, Chris, Alyssa-Jane, Faith, Rayanne, Garrett, Ashlynne, Rueben, Zoe, Malachi, Josiah, Adam, Ethan, Nathan, Samuel, Salem and Michelle and three great-grandchildren, Shiloh, Brooke and Azeal. Join us to remember the life of this lover of God on September 6, 2024 at 12.30pm, at the Claudelands Events Center on Brooklyn Road.

Thank you dear brother Ray for being such a pattern of following closely the ministry of the age and for continuously taking the lead to blend with so many churches, shepherding saints throughout the earth. Your smile and enjoyment of the Christ you love is inscribed on our hearts. May your going not be a loss but a gain to all of us in the church life to see what the Lord´s desires. We are all human too and you will be missed tremendously. Lord comfort all those who love our brother.
