Laurie ACE Obituary

On 10 October 2023, aged 70 years. Father and father-in-law of Shaun & Caron, and Rebecca. Grandad of Jayden and Maddie. Brother to Veronica and Lyall, uncle to Lee and Alex. A memorial celebration of Laurie's life will be held in the Park Chapel, Hamilton Park Crematorium, Morrinsville Road, Newstead, on Thursday 26 October at 1.30pm. Dad was a lover of all things automotive; please feel free to arrive in style.

Laurie joined the Regular Force Cadets the same year as me. Tough times and good times. Stand down Laurie. March off. Another brother soldier lost.

I have known Laurie for some time and as we both had conditions that we had to use our mobility scooters to get around and being only a street away from me , we often caught up with each other and he had wonderful experiences that we shared . ( he loved the mandarins off my tree that he regularly sampled ) We spent a lot of hours in the shade of the trees at the and of Kiwi Ave in the shade on hot days . I will miss him calling around and he sure had many memories that were interesting .. RIP Laurie .
