Dear family, even though I had not seen uncle Ken since I was very young, he always held a special place in my heart.I
Remember with fondness, asking him to paint a picture in my coloring book. This was at nana Salter's house in Wanganui, when I was just a youngster.
RIP uncle Ken

"You've lost weight" Ken would always say when I came and visited. So, I'd fill up on June's lovely baking.
June, Ray, Jacqui and Michelle, my thoughts and tears are with you all. Such a lovely man. I have so many fond memories (especially) the River Road house, the pool and Ken's garage where you could find anything and everything, and more! I remember the wooden items he used to woodwork/carve and take to the "old people". June had the baking tins full when I came over after school or on weekends. There were the casual dinners in front of TV on the dinner trays, always with dessert/cakes/biscuits. Plus, the family trip to Oz for his 80th birthday - Port Douglas driving up to see Cooktown etc, and "stacky food". Every time I've seen "stacky food" over the years, I think of Ken and June. In the later years, it was lovely to visit in Rototuna, and catchup. Great memories and laughter. Rest peacefully Ken. xx Fleur
