To the passing of Ken Downing yesterday 17th of August 2023.

I am Geof Mead and I am Esther's cousin and we are all very sad to hear that her husband Ken has suddenly passed away.

In and about 1973, I visited my Aunt, Uncle and cousins in McMinville Oregon and it was about then that I first met Ken who was lucky enough to find my cousin Esther who was and still is a wonderful woman.

After about a year later Ken and Esther, along with their parents and other brothers and sisters came to New Zealand and Ken became a farmer and Esther looked after the children.

Our deepest sympathies to you and all your family, we are very sad for your loss and grief.

We will remember Ken with lovely memories

So shocked to hear this news, my heart goes out to you all. The most incredible memories we all had as teens at your farm, you always welcomed our family and treated us like your own. Hugs to you all and prayers for peace as we navigate the seasons ahead. On behalf of all the Foster family x

Sad to hear of Ken´s passing. Many great memories I hold of times he had with others and myself. A greater place now he´s gone to. His heart was close to his Lord. Praise God for the hope and certainly He gives to all His children. Peace to You Esther and family for a time such as this. AMEN
