"The Ghost has left the building"
I was shocked to be told of your passing Keith. You are one of those unforgettable characters that have the knack of being the light in any darkened room.
you have been taken far too soon ( only 3 months into retirement)
I will never forget you, particularly your quick wit.

To Keith & Whanau, so very sad to hear of Keiths' passing. Though I only worked with him for 2 years he left a lasting impression & just the other day I thought of 'The Grey Ghost'. His ability to stay calm was something I'll always remember. He really was a good buggar & never short of a story for us newbies. Go in peace Keith. Arohanui

The 'Grey Ghost'....One of life's good buggers. So sad and shocked to learn of your passing mate and I remember you with fondness and respect from our days working together back in the '80s. You had an easy ear, a comforting slap on the back and a bloody huge repetoire of yarns to keep us amused. Rest easy mate....

Keith , a shock to read of your passing...we enjoyed being neighbours of "The Buntings" on Ohaupo Road and often reflect on those happy days. I was impressed when you bought the red Jaguar and my sister was even more so when you started combing your hair like Gene Pitney!
Sad time for all your family and friends and may Wednesday be embraced with love and many fond memories .....Hilly, Lesley, John and Mick (deceased )

Bunty, I was absolutely devastated to hear the sad news of your passing. You were the best mate. I was so much looking forward to our outback adventure. I know you had big plans for your retirement and it seems so wrong that you have been robbed of the coming years. I have heard all your jokes 500 times over the six years we worked together, but would give anything to hear them again. You were the best, I will never, never forget you.

Having worked with Keith on a number of training courses in the Police I remember well his stories, his jokes (albeit lame)and his benign personality.
He will be missed, but will always be remembered from his colleagues in the early days of SSTT.

Keith. It was so sad to receive this news. I am so sorry I can't get back to say goodbye on Wednesday, but I am in Eastern Europe. I always remember those fun years of the late 70's - early 80's and hopefully many of the old team will be there on Wednesday to give you a great farewell. Rest in Peace my friend. Colin Yates
