Kathy ANDERSON Obituary
(formerly Chappell):
On 22nd of June 2017 at Waipuna Hospice, after a brave battle, aged 61 years. Dearly loved Mom to Mark and Julie, Amy and Greg. Much loved Grandma to Tyler and Holly. Loved sister of Paul and Jan (Tauranga), Mary and Jim Beckett (Auckland) and Michael (Christchurch) and a much loved Aunty. Donations to Waipuna Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Kathy's wishes are that you wear bright colours for her service which will be held at the South Waikato Events Centre 25 Mossop Road, Tokoroa on Tuesday, the 27th of June at 1.00pm followed by a private cremation.

Kathy's Tui in town 2016

To all of Kathy's family, time will dim the pain but not our memory's of Kathy.
In looking through photographs I saw the photo of the Tui, Kathy's Tui which dominated the tree just outside the Radio Station window.
Kathy became frustrated trying to photograph the Tui with her phone and eventually marched into my work-space "your the photographer I need a photo of my Tui." I was tempted to reply yes Sargent Major and snap to attention.
As requested I duly provided Kathy with a collection of Tui photographs. Listening to Kathy as she pursued the photographs the oh .. ah's you would think she had just unboxed an exclusive clothing catalogue. I don't know now many people Kathy went on to spam with her Tui photos. But for the rest of the 2016 nectar season the adventures of Tui were a delightful and colorful topic of street conversation.
