Sending all our love to the whole family at this sad time. I look back at how lucky I was to live beside a wonderful family and having John as an important role model, teacher and friend to help guide me through much of my childhood. A true gentleman.
Sorry I cannot make it to support you, but will be thinking of you all.

Mervyl my loving thoughts and Prayers go out to you and your dear family at this sad and difficult time. Very fond memories when associated with you and John in our Milson Rotary Club days. Was a pleasure for Mary and I to have known you both.

To Mervyl and family, please accept deepest sympathy on the passing of John. He was a great friend at Lodge Pakama in the early days of our careers in Palmerston North and then later when we re- connected in Lodge Hamutana in Hamilton. John was also very much involved in me joining the Milson Rotary club along with Glen Caves. We had many laughs "putting the world right" as we shared transport to Lodge meetings. A true gentleman who will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace John
