John MacKENZIE Obituary

10.9.1935 – 18.10.23 Son of the late Ron MacKenzie & Gwen Dreadon. Brother of Peter (dec) and Dave. Beloved life partner for 56 years of Penny (Jennifer) and adored father and father-in-law of Douglas & Karen, Ali & Paul Smith, and Helen & Nathan Hunt. Cheeky and proud "Gramp" of Dylan, Charmaine, Jamie, Katie, Lani and Ian and "Boop" to Josh, Erin and Laura. At John's request no funeral will be held. If you have photos and/or memories they can be shared by email to [email protected]. A kind, honourable, caring man with a cheeky sense of humour who was always ready to help. He loved sharing his life on the land with Penny farming his "Hilliview" Friesian cows and working with his bullock teams and his dogs. So shut the gate one last time, rest easy, your job here is done. All communications to MacKenzie Family c/- PO Box 241, Te Kuiti 3941. VJ Williams & Sons, Funeral Directors Association of NZ

John and Penny, long time members of Waipa Holstein Friesian Club. Always willing to help in any way and a loyal friend to many. Bruce and I enjoyed your company on the annual bus trips, at club shows and competitions and social events. Rest easy now John you can be very proud of what you and Penny achieved. Colleen Craig
