Passed away suddenly and peacefully on 10th February 2026 in Te Awamutu, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband of the late Maureen. Cherished Dad to Tania Livingston and Paul Lakin and families. A Memorial Service for John will be held at Alexandra House Chapel, 570 Alexandra St, Te Awamutu on Saturday, 28th February at 1.00pm. John and Maureen were fantastic neighbours and we spent many an hour talking across the fence solving lifes problems. We will always remember our friend John and his lettuce leaf (green car) with great fondness. Rest in Peace John

served my apprenticeship with him a Swanson and Walsh in 1961+ till he moved to Te Awamutu with his own business. Great tradesman.Not many of us left John from the old school. Rest in peace my friend it was an honer to have you as one of my teachers.
