John Edward (Hoppy):
Unexpectedly at Hutt Hospital on 27th March 2022, aged 82. Loved husband of Pam (dec), loved dad of Gary & Allie, Lynne & Peter and Stephen (dec) & Ceri. Loving friend of Irene. Grandad to Rose, Jay, Dave, Adam, Chris, Jamie and Sarah, and great-Grandad of 8. A service to honour John's life will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt, on Friday 1st April at 2.00pm. A vaccination pass is required to attend.

I have fond memories of barbecues at Uncle John and Aunty Pam´s place in Stokes Valley and of holidaying in Katikati together. I remember one time in Katikati, John trying to cook an egg on an old-style cone shaped bbq and looking confused as he watched it slip down the side of the bbq and fall out through the hole at the bottom. He looked like he didn´t really understand what had gone wrong. He was a lovely man and I´m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you all at this time.
