Jennifer RICHARDS Obituary

Condolences to the Steyn family. Jenny was my boss in NICU at Waikato hospital in the 70s and 80s. Andrew and my son Alan were good friends for years. Many lovely memories of her and her parents. Kia Kaha Jenny

I have known Jenni since our High School years when she immigrated with her family from South Africa and we were in the same form class. Jenni also joined our family camping trip to Mount Maunganui one summer. I know she hadn´t been camping before but adaptedvery well!
We also used to both bus to town and meet up in for late Friday night shopping- not that we bought anything - it was more of a social occasion to meet up and chat with other school mates!
Jenni was a lovely person and although our get-togethers have been infrequent of late, we enjoyed each other´s company whenever we did meet! (I have also moved out of Hamilton.)

I'm so very sorry indeed to hear of Jenni's passing. I worked with her for 11 years and used to catch up with her at our NICU lunches, but I had no idea she was ill. She was a much loved and respected colleague who adored her family. Rest in peace Jenni. With love, Prue.
