I have been deeply saddened at the news of Jenny's passing. When I joined the University in November 1965, our offices were adjacent and she was most welcoming to a "new boy" in what was at first a strange environment. I appreciated her friendship and remember her fondly.

Good evening,
I just want to offer my warm condolences to all of Jenny King's family and friends.
As Ecumenical Campus Chaplain (1989 -1996) to the University of Waikato, I remember Jenny with much respect and affection.
I found Jenny to be a wonderfully warm, engaging, passionate and compassionate person who cared deeply about her library staff and the students and staff they sought to serve.
I appreciated her hospitality- she always tried to make time for me when I visited her office. I also enjoyed her laughter and sense of humour.
She lived the motto of the University - Ko tangata - its all about the people.
I know she was greatly missed when she retired from the University.
She will be missed even more now that she had died.
I honour her living and her dying.
Arohanui,
