Peacefully at Radius Windsor Court, Ohaupo, surrounded by family and friends, on 24 September 2021, aged 83 years. Loved father & father-in-law of Jean & Malcolm, Mary & Graham, Anne & Richard, William & Ali, John & Chrissy. Loved Grandad of Carl, David, Andrew, Robin, Emma, Jayme, Katie, Patrick and Madeleine. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Mary & Sam Smythe and their family. Former husband of Carole Irwin, and partner of Joan Ackerley. A service for Jim will be held at Seddon Park Funeral Home Chapel, Cnr Seddon Road & Somerset Street, Hamilton, on Friday, 1 October 2021 at 10.30am. Livestream option available, please contact the family. In lieu of flowers donations preferred to Westpac Trust Air Ambulance, PO Box 9308, Hamilton 3240. So sorry to hear the sad news of uncle Jim's passing.
I extend deep and heartfelt sympathy to Joan and the family circle.
Uncle Jim lived a full life mainly in New Zealand but I think a bit of his heart remained in Ireland.
