Ian MCGREAL Obituary
On Friday 24 April 2020, Ian passed away peacefully at Atawhai Assisi Resthome and Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Phyllis and loved father and father-in-law of Kirsten and Martin Searle. Ian was also a cherished grandad to Samuel and Ebony. An online Requiem Mass will be held for Ian on Wednesday 29 April at 1.30pm. Our prayers and thoughts are with you at this sad time. I have fond memories of Ian when his family owned the IGA shop at the Five Cross Roads. Ian, along with his brother and dad, would often pop a lolly or two into our hands when we were picking up shopping. Such a small thing but never forgotten. I am sure he is being rewarded for it now. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers. Arohanui and God bless.

So sorry to hear about Ian,
I worked with him in the Foodtown days in both Hamilton and Wanganui and have many great memories of those times.
He was a great teacher,leader and mentor and was a very popular store manager.
My sincere condolences to Phyllis,Kirsten and family.
