Jacoba "Hennie":
Passed away peacefully after a short but hard battle, at St Joans Hospital, aged 71 years. Much loved wife of the late Marinus. Loved, respected and admired by her 3 daughters; Marieke, Renate and Johanneke and her sons-in-law, Mike and Dave. Inspirational grandmother of Aiya, Isla and Moya. A celebration of Hennie's life will be held on Thursday, 18th January, at 11.00am, at Woodside Estate, 130-132 Woodside Road, Matangi, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, donations will be gratefully accepted to St Joan's Hospital Garden Path Fundraiser and may be left at the service. All correspondence to the van Kooten family may be sent c/- PO Box 4449, Hamilton East, 3247.

Dear Jo and sisters,
So sorry to read about the passing of your mum. We have had some good times together over the years, fun times at choir practice and at socials from the Waikato Netherlands Society.
I will always held fond memories of Hennie.

Dag kinderen en kleinkinderen van Hennie,
Heel veel sterkte gewenst met het verlies van jullie moeder en oma. We kenden Hennie al vanaf haar jeugd. Jullie (over)grootouders Bart en Reintje waren vrienden van mijn ouders.Jullie Van Roekel-ooms en tante kennen we ook goed.Mijn overleden broer Cor was al bevriend met Hennie in zijn schooltijd. Hennie kwam vaak bij ons thuis. Cor is altijd vriend geweest met jullie oom Gerrit.We herinneren Hennie als een hartelijke, vriendelijke vrouw. De laatste keer dat we haar ontmoetten was toen ze in Nederland was in 2012.We zullen haar niet vergeten.
