Heather DAY Obituary
(nee Stuart, formerly Wylie):
(Life member of W.D.F.F.) On 23 May 2019 at Wilson Carlisle Home, Hamilton East, aged 92 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Len Day, and the late Keith Wylie. Wonderful loving mother and mother-in-law of Clive, Bruce, Lance and Sorphea. Much loved step-mother of Murray (dec.) and Jennifer, Coralie and Graham, Margaret and Mike. Loving grandmother of Oliver, James, Jessamy and Matheson, Liam and Braden, and Jonty and sister of the late Alison and the late Gordon. As a family we wish to acknowledge the love, care and respect shown to our mother over her 9 years at Wilson Carlisle Home. A service for Heather will be held at Seddon Park Funeral Home Chapel, Cnr Seddon Road & Somerset Street, Hamilton, on Tuesday, 28 May 2019 at 2pm, followed by private cremation. DAY (WYLIE), HEATHER
A great tribute to your Mum, Lance, and it has brought back all those wonderful childhood memories of the Wylie and Smale families living and growing up together in Peacockes Road. Also, our mothers having such a very strong friendship sharing the same qualities in loving, caring and bringing up their families, and both of them being very active and supportive in the Rukuhia community.

DAY (WYLIE), Heather:
Mum has passed away, aged 92 years, many of them spent at Rukuhia by Sunfruits. Reflecting back in the 1960’s and early 70’s, not many had much cash - so mum made our clothes, cooked at home, we had our own orchard. Mum preserved jars of peaches and pears. Vege garden. Chook house. We learnt heaps from that. Xmas in a tent camping at the beach. Road trips to grandad’s farm in Palmy North. Mum looked after us. Thanks Mum. RIP, love from Lance.
