Margaret Bull here- posting to remember Gretchen Callaghan who gave such dedicated service to Hamilton West School, under the Principalship of our father, Athol Jackson. Gretchen was a sincere, and friendly Deputy Principal, who guided the school through the 'Tomorrows School ' legislation in 1989, enabling the involvement of families in the direction and management of their schools- an innovation that remains in practice to this day. Rest in peace Gretchen- a career well done!

You supported us so much. We enjoyed our visits at On Burn and it was great to see you still smiling and you have left behind many memories. You have now re-united with our son and I know he will be taking great care of you. Condolences to the Family.

A great work colleague and friend. She taught me so much about teaching, commitment and caring. She stayed true to her values and showed them in her interactions with students and colleagues. I'm sure she is having a great reunion now.
