Gerhard Georg (Gerry):
On Wednesday 23rd February 2022, at Linda Jones Retirement Village, aged 88 years. Dearly loved husband to the late Margaret for 60 years. Much loved Papa of Joseph, Sue, Mike, John, Ruth and Paul; father-in-law of Theresa, Steph, Ang and Henrike; and Poppa of his 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A private family service for Gerhard will be held at 11.00am on Tuesday 1st March 2022. If you would like to watch the service via Livestream, then please email [email protected]. In addition, a gathering with light refreshments will be held at 12.30-2.30pm on Monday 28th February 2022, at Woolertons' Funeral Home, 8 Railside Place, Hamilton, for Gerry's friends who are unable to attend the family service (Vaccine Passes are required to attend this gathering). Oh Papa. You have always been such a large, strong presence in my life. I cannot thank you enough for the guidance, support, practical jokes, stories, hugs and love. I like to think that you and Mum are waltzing together so effortlessly up there. For all you've done for me, Angus, Kaden and Piper, we love you and will miss you so very much. Rest easy, Papa

He was my boss in the mid to late 1980's and he was such a good boss to work for. He ran a good firm and like a drink We had some good Christmas parties, he always donated all the scrap metal so we could have funds. One year we flew in airplanes around Hamilton-amazing to do that for your workers! A good family man, including Margaret working at Arands too.
